One of my students is reading The Cay, by Theodore Taylor. A virtual visit to Willemstad, Curaçao, brings the story alive with images and descriptions. Encourage your child to anchor the settings, characters, and narratives in memory similar to making a movie. Some sites, such as AirPano, include detailed descriptions and sensory music. Your child might even become inspired to visit some of these places live to recreate the setting and plots for their favorite books. What an adventure!
