Tara Brach NPR Interview: Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture…R.A.I.N.

Tara Brach, my instructor in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, shares the powerful and beautiful R.A.I.N. mindfulness meditation practice.

R.A.I.N. stands for recognize, allow, investigate (somatically), and nurture. The R.A.I.N. practice offers centering, awareness, and remembering to take a breath. Tara talks about what happens between a stimulus and response….a pause. This helps to calm our limbic system, which translates into managing anxiety and emotional healing. The main idea is that our consciousness is expansive enough to hold whatever challenging situation, thought, emotion, or belief system comes up for us. Please let me know at www.learnmindfully.com/classes/ if you are interested in learning more about R.A.I.N.
